Former NFL Pro Bowler Marcellus Wiley Arrested on Domestic Battery Charges
The sports analyst and former professional football player was taken into custody without bond, following recent and past allegations of sexual assault.

Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL Pro Bowl selection and prominent sports media personality, was taken into custody on Saturday to face charges of domestic battery.
Court records indicate that authorities from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Wiley, who is currently being held without bond. Specific details regarding the alleged incident leading to his arrest have not yet been publicly disclosed.
Recent and Past Allegations Surface
The arrest of the 51-year-old comes amidst a backdrop of serious accusations that have recently gained public attention. A Rolling Stone article published in April 2026 detailed claims of sexual assault made by four different women against Wiley.
Additionally, Wiley has previously faced a lawsuit from three women who alleged he raped them while he was a student-athlete at Columbia University, where he played college football. Wiley addressed these specific allegations on his podcast, "More To It with Marcellus Wiley," where he denied the claims and stated he possessed evidence to refute what he termed "alleged misrepresentations." He also publicly dismissed the Columbia-era allegations as "B.S."
Wiley is married to Annemarie Wiley, known for her past role on the television series "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
Detailed Accounts from Accusers
The Rolling Stone report highlighted that two of the women accusing Wiley of sexual assault placed their alleged incidents between 1995 and 1999.
One accuser described being groomed by Wiley since she was 13 years old, during his tenure with the Buffalo Bills. She further alleged that Wiley raped her when she turned 18, in Dallas, claiming he had arranged for her to travel there while he was playing for the Cowboys. In her own words, the victim stated:
"Marcellus Wiley raped me on my 18th birthday, after grooming me from the age of 13." She added that he referred to her as ‘little momma.’ "If Columbia had properly pursued the complaints… I would never have been groomed and raped."
Another woman, who formerly worked as a production assistant at ESPN – where Wiley also served as a broadcaster – accused him of deceiving her into joining him in a hotel room for a purported work meeting in 2009. She claims he sexually assaulted her during that encounter. A court filing attributed to this fourth woman stated:
"The assault was devastating to me, and I will live with the effects to this day."
Wiley's NFL Career
Marcellus Wiley was drafted 52nd overall in the 1997 NFL Draft after his collegiate career at Columbia. He began his professional football journey with the Buffalo Bills, where he played for four seasons.
His sole Pro Bowl selection came in 2001 while he was with the San Diego Chargers, where he spent three years. Wiley also played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars before concluding his playing career after the 2006 season.
